Burial Options

Mountain View Cemetery offers the options of full-body or cremation burial in conventional lots, cremation burial in lots measuring 2'x2' or double cremation lots measuring 2'x4', and cremation burial in our Cascade Memorial Garden in berm lots or grass lots.

Though there is no shelter at Carnegie Park, the park may be rented for large gatherings, including church meetings, concerts, and reunions. Reservations require that a Special Activities permit be filled out and submitted to the Parks Office. Fees are determined on an individual basis. For more information, contact the Oregon City Parks Office at 503-496-1201.

Outreach and In-House services are available for Seniors, as well as those seeking information about their family members for information and referral to other senior service agencies, problem solving assistance for those who may have concerns about life situations, low income energy assistance, emergency transportation, and telephone reassurance with daily safety checks for the frail elderly. Code Enforcement responds to citizen complaints as fast as possible by determining if a violation has occurred, alerting the responsible party that they are in violation, and enforcing compliance through the legal process. Submit Complaint Form here.

We've joined forces with the Oregon Building Codes Division to allow contractors to pull limited-scope, over-the-counter electrical, mechanical, and plumbing permits online. The permits available on this site do not require plans, calculations, other agency approval, or staff interaction.

Development Services, within the Public Works Department, Engineering Group, provides the professional engineering services and consultation to various City departments and the general public for private development.

The 2008 summer season for the Oregon City Trolley's is now over. We hope that you have enjoyed riding the Trolley while living in or visiting the first incorporated city west of the Mississippi. Please look for the return of the Trolleys in the Summer of 2009.

Educational and recreational programs are available at the Center, some are free of charge and others have a class fee to cover the expense of instructors and materials. Some programs are co-sponsored with other community organizations.
